The video above has very clear, step by step directions for linking acounts from the school account.
On the school side, readers will need to know their Library account username and password. If they don’t remember it, but they know the email address used to register them, they can send a reminder. If they don’t have an account, they can create one. Students should NOT create a new Library account if they simply don’t know the username or password!
On the library side, readers (or their parents) registering for a new Beanstack account will be asked for their school name. If the school uses Beanstack, they will then be asked for their school login. In Lawrence Township, their school login is the first part of their email address. Their password is their last name in lower case.
On either side, readers can link their two accounts later if they’ve bypassed it at registration or dismissed the banner message requesting them to connect. Note that minutes logged on either side before linking will not show up. Only minutes logged after the accounts are linked will show up on both sides.
The files below have directions, too, for linking from either account. You should add your school’s Beanstack URL and the Library’s Beanstack URL (https://indypl.beanstack.org/) before distributing the directions.
