The folks at Sora have a wide range of training materials to offer students, teachers, and library staff.

Sora Self-paced Curriculum

The Sora Self-Paced Curriculum covers an introduction to Sora, how to login, navigate, browse and borrow. It also explains how to manage loans and holds, check reading stats, export notes and highlights, and adjust app-wide settings.

The only difference here is that instead of entering your login credentials to get to the public library, students will enter their IndyPL library card number.

a series of introductory pages that cover getting started, finding ebooks and downloadable audiobooks, and “More.”  The More section covers assignments, exporting notes and vocabulary words, reading and listening offline, and how students track reading stats.

Training kits may include PDFs, lesson plans, PowerPoints, or links to instructional videos.  They range from primary students to introducing Sora to educators at your school.

These videos range in length from 30 minutes to an hour and cover topics mentioned above.  In addition, several delve into Marketplace which is your “shopping and admin portal,” the site where you can create a wide variety of reports, create lists to show up in Sora, and purchase ebooks for your school or district collection.
