Patrons: Copying

• To copy a patron record, click the Copy button
• Leap copies everything except for the barcode and password
  • To prevent duplication, you must be sure to edit the Name and check the Patron Code, Birthdate, and Email addresses for necessary changes.
• Make sure you review the entire patron record before saving

Special instructions for copying Educator Cards for teachers

• Select an Educator Card that has been created correctly for your location because it includes:
  • teacher’s real name
  • school address and phone number
  • teacher’s work email address
  • teacher’s actual birthdate
  • Patron code is Shared System Room Card (Educator Cards were formerly known as “school room cards.”)
  • Statistical Class is SS Staff
• From the registration window, choose copy and change the following fields for each new Educator Card:
  • teacher’s name
  • teacher’s work email address
  • teacher’s birthdate
