Holds: Suspend or Reactivate

You can update the activation dates for multiple requests in Leap. This option is enabled when all selected holds are in a status of Active, Inactive, or Pending/Located.

To suspend or reactivate holds in bulk

  1. In the Patron Holds view, select one or more holds, and select Suspend/Reactivate.
  2. Select an activation date in the Activation Date box, and select UPDATE ACTIVATION DATE. Only the current and future dates are enabled.

Leap updates the activation dates for the selected holds and refreshes the Patron Holds view. Holds that are now inactive or that may now be pending/located will display those statuses.

Note:
Leap performs limit checks when a hold is placed, not when the activation date is updated. There is no message when a hold is re-activated. Patron hold limits are still respected during the RTF processing, which will leave a request active (or not supplied, depending on Polaris Administration (staff client) settings) until the patron is under their limits.
