We are not able to enable/disable Reading History (history of items checked out) in Polaris. In order to protect patron privacy, neither Library nor Shared System staff members are able to view the history of items checked out .
Borrowers do have the ability to enable Reading History in their Bibliocommons account. After they enable their history, they will be able to view all items they have checked out. They can also turn off reading history at any time and this will delete the list of items checked out.
To enable reading history in Bibliocommons
Login to account
Click on “My Settings”
Scroll down to “Account Preferences”
Borrowing History – Click Change to either enable/disable
